In een uiterst turbulent jaar, wisten de foto's van Bulent Kilic de aandacht te pakken van redacties en nieuwslezers wereldwijd.

]]> De 35-jarige Kilic neemt zijn foto’s voor persbureau AFP. Hij was in 2014 onder andere aanwezig bij conflictgebieden als Kiev en Ayn al-Arab (Kobani), maar ook in Istanbul tijdens demonstraties tegen regering-Erdogan en tijdens pro-Erdogan rally’s. Zijn foto’s waren zo krachtig, dat hij door Time is uitgeroepen tot fotograaf van het jaar.
